Black Owned & Operated Community Land Trust

The Black Owned and Operated Community Land Trust (BOOCLT) partnered with IYC students to envision a collective urban plan for the revitalization of Leimert Park, a culturally rich and historically significant neighborhood where IYC is located. Focused on preserving its cultural heritage while enhancing its infrastructure, the challenge encouraged students to propose innovative solutions that honor the community's legacy and address its evolving needs. Students were tasked with creating a comprehensive urban plan that integrates digital and tangible elements, emphasizing sustainable development, community engagement, and cultural relevance.
